trip update!
argh. plane fares went up. the mileage program we are in not only changed their rules from "free ticket" to "$400 credit", they imposed all sorts of criteria on you so that if you don't fulfill them, they reduce the credit to $300. damn economy. jenn's ticket home ended up costing way too much due to our procrastination. oh, well. at least we could use the united airlines ticket we purchased last year and didn't use -- we sneaked in right before they changed the rules about changing your ticket.
so the itinerary is set. fly home with ajaye at the end of july, get her settled. come back to cali on 8/14, say our goodbyes, collect the dogs, and drive. tahoe first, then denver, then jenn goes home and i drive with the doggies. should be fun. not sure how it will be, being away from ajaye for 10 days. that will be weird. i'm sure she'll be ok, but what about me?
good thing i have the laptop with a webcam. now i need to find dog-friendly hotels with broadband. :)
