the big drive, day 4
short drive today. we woke up in rock springs, wyoming and drove the 4.5 hours to longmont to visit brandon and kim. the dogs seem to get along ok with wyatt and dakota (beagles). we've seen nothing from the six cats who live here, except for a few minutes from tasman, who smacked sophie on the head as she was checking him out.
dinner was not-quite-fiesta-del-mar-quality mexican, but it was big portions and cheap by california standards. and there was a loud (good? i'm not sure) mexican band, complete with trumpets, violins, and the cheesy tuxedos.
