paying the price.
i'm hung over. ugh. i went to breakfast this morning at 11:00 am and thought i could eat something. sat for 20 minutes waiting for service, and then i ordered -- get this -- a ham steak and a bagel. (that's all that sounded good.) well, it wasn't working. i took two bites and asked for a box and the check.
cab ride from pasadena to l.a. was interesting. i got the pissed-off white cabbie in an all-armenian cab company. he went on and on about how those guys are motherf***ers and it's all bullsh*t because they give good fares to all their buddies. ok, dude, whatever, just get me downtown alive.
arriving downtown i found the hotel was excellent. i scarfed the leftover food and went looking for more. well, on sunday night, there is no "more" downtown. the only thing open was subway, which i rapidly consumed while trying not to wretch at joe theismann's inane commentary on sunday night football.
conference starts tomorrow, time to sleep!
