it's go time!

jenn's water broke this morning at 11:00 AM! she was at the hospital getting a bi-weekly test, and was on her way home when it happened. so we hustled up and gathered all our stuff. i had to shower because i hadn't showered in 2 or 3 days (lazy), so i hit that fast and we were out the door.

it's now 6:11 PM, and jenn has her epidural and is feeling great. she suffered some pretty bad contractions and also suffered from a lot of poking and prodding because her veins are so invisble. but now all is well. as jenn says, "a well placed epidural is a lovely thing!" (with ajaye she had the epidural take on only one half of her body, which made things about 100% worse than nothing at all.)

anyhow, the doc checked her and said she's 8 cm dilated and 100% effaced, with the baby's head at zero station. for you laymen out there, it means we're about ready to start pushing!

stay tuned for details...

I cannot believe you are blogging as your child is being born. We need to sit down and have a talk…
