LA LA land
[sorry for the post delay, but my network was hosed yesterday. skipping ahead.]
today was the second day at the PDC, which means the trip to universal studios. it was the usual party -- food was ok, not great. desserts were good. rides were fun. the last attraction we visited was "van helsing", which was sort of a scary maze type thing. on the way in, there was a sign with rules. rule #1? "do not touch the live performers". i've seen that rule before, so i had to be sure i didn't wander out of the park and into a "gentleman's club". a quick look around yielded the following:
- 11 PM
- lots of men
- very few women, most of whom were scantily clad dancing around to music
- beer and wine in abundance
uh oh. still can't determine whether i'm at PDC or a strip joint. must look further. ah yes, there's the dude playing with the new techie gadget he bought; thus, i must still be at PDC.
[the women i mentioned were the belly dancer attraction. also, the beer and wine were free and not $20 each, so that's another giveaway that i was not at a strip club. or so i've heard.]
