whoa!
i woke up this morning to an IM from my friend josh at microsoft who gave me the heads-up that microsoft had made a public bid to buy yahoo! at $31/share. as you all know, this has been rumored for a long time (replete with 2 run-ups in YHOO based on rumor).
if the deal gets done, whether this is a good move or not for either company remains to be seen. i'm not going to offer any opinions here because they pay me for technical stuff, not business sense. ;)
however, from my own selfish viewpoint this is good because if the deal goes through i can immerse myself even more in some of the awesome new MSFT technology!!
